Update: 12 Man Pitching Staff Battle Royal

Addition:

We claimed RHP Casey Fien off waivers from the Red Sucks, who had just claimed him from the Tigers.  He is on his third organization since Monday.

A quick look at his career minor league stats courtesy of Minor League Splits dot com reveal a good strike out to walk ratio of 5 to 1.

According to King Jordan, our new reliever has an option year left.  Because of this, I can't see how he can open the year on the major league roster.  Nice, low risk addition by Boy Wonder.

Subtractions:

We started out with a ridiculous 32 pitchers in camp.  4 of them have been thrown over the top rope already!  Shawn Hill, Jesse Litsch, Scott Richmond and Dirk Hayhurst have returned to Minor League camp to continue their rehab.  All of them are on the disabled list with various arm injuries.

One Leg Over The Rope:

Team enforcer Lance Broadway, seems to be on borrowed time.  An update on his legal situation can be found here courtesy of Infield Fly.  He is still in the Battle Royal.....for now.

By my count that leaves 29 pitchers vying for 12 jobs.  Who do you think is next to go?  Is it Broadway or maybe somebody else goes first?
